What is KUBŌ?
“KUBŌ is an expression of many conversations, frustrations, and aspirations of so many young people in the community,” says co-founder Gerard Rabara. He felt it was time to try something new: “We’re taking space and saying this is our city too. Our stories are Vienna’s stories. We are Europeans, we are Austrians, and we are Filipinos. We are migrants, and we are natives. We are the future, and we have something to say.

KUBŌ, which stands for Kultur Bayanihan Ōsterreich, was founded in Vienna in 2021 by Gerard Rabara and a group of young Filipino-Austrians led by Arlene Castañeda and Christian Namiss.

Tickets can be purchased in advance online or on-site. For more information on the programme and to receive updates on the festival, please visit www.kubo-austria.com
